Heyyyy, this is one of the last times I will be writing in here, but I'm proud to announce that my CCR was "bussin."
Its so cool and I feel so proud of it. I had never done anything similar to it so it was a wonderful experience that I will make sure to remember and use in future projects.
Hope you enjoy it, here is the link! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/142vNUKLzH-H966X2EeURD2BLKPSw9nD5?usp=sharing
I can't really say I'm glad I finished, because I was having do much fun, however, it did stress me and exhausted me a lot too. But all the effort was worth it.
I think I did an amazing project and I tried my best too. I had fun, I got mad at my brother, I stressed over planing... But I have to say the good moments win the bad ones. This was a great experience that has taught me a bit more about the real world and how to problem solve when you are on your own, and it has also taught me to improvise and plan. I'm so thankful for this unique experience my teacher was able to provide for us, she was really supporting and helpful throughout the whole journey.
Her comments about how well I was writing in my blog, inspired me even more to continue with it everyday.
Thank you so much for keeping up with me in this journey, see you!
Sorry for not posting yesterday, I got really sick and stayed in bed all day sleeping, thankfully I'm much better today. And I come with more great news, the film opening is completely done! I'm writing this as it exports.
One of the most notable things i did is the color saturation. I made it kind of dull and since when I filmed the sun was not directly shining, it helped convey a more mysterious, dark, evil vibe to the piece.
In the video you can also notice how I changed some of the storyboard. Turns out that I needed the help of my mom and dad in some scenes but the days I filmed, they would always be out for work, so the planing had to change a bit.
Although I'm not really good at editing, I think I did a great job this time. The music fits well the opening, the atmospheric sound was a bit low in some scenes so I had to search for some of them on youtube. Here are some:
The swing:
The water drops
The creaking door
The rest of some of them I just copied and pasted the same sound that was in the raw footage.
Here concludes this post, but make sure to check out the next one, you can find the film opening there!
While Editing today I saw that some scenes did not convince me and that others did not fit the purpose as well as I thought at first. So after a lot of cutting, splitting, and watching... I made my brother, once more, dress up.
At first he did not like the idea, you know this actors now-days 🙄, but he ended up agreeing just for the shake of me ending my project so I can get a good grade in it, pass the Cambridge exam, graduate with a Bright Futures Scholarship, and go to the USF university if possible. Or we can also say that he did this so I can move out so he gets to keep my room. But either way... I got what I needed.
We didn't film much, just a couple of scenes that were missing to connect some scenes, and I think we only had to retake 1 or 2 other scenes.
It was a pretty busy day, but it was worth it overall 😊
Here is a pic I took of my brother today when filming
Heyyy! so we are about almost done with the project, I have to admit the weeks did pass at a fast peace... But I am finishing to edit, and the piece is looking pretty cool. This was a great experience, I had never done something like this before, the most similar project I did, was the one we did at the start of the year were we got a word and we had to convey it through only visuals, which is what I did in my film.
Here is a small peek of the editing. I'm adding the final touches to it and I really like how its looking. However, I had a bit of problems with the time limit, but I'm pretty sure I can fix those extra seconds easily.
I'm using iMovie since is the editing software I know how to use the most, and is also really simple to use.
