The horror genre...🏚

Let me introduce you one of my favorite genres when watching movies ... Horror! Unfortunatley for my liking, this genre is not for every young adult (15-25) out there. Some of the most common genre conventions in horror, are the dark settings, the mysterious traces of blood, the suspense music rising the tension every second and the fear of the unkown. As for the institutional conventions of the genre, when it comes to marketing, the best way to make you want to watch the piece is by suspense, intriguing your curiosity, letting you know there is something with evil intentions there, but never show exactly what it really is. Some examples of new films are the movies: It, and It chapter 2.

        IT:

"It" is a movie made in 2017 directed by Andi Muschietti, in the movie, the main characters are some marginalized kids who group up to face a clown looking creature, why? Well, this creature seems to enjoy preying on kids in Maine Town...

Ready or Not:

"Ready or Not" is a movie made in 2019 directed by Matt Bettinelli, were the bride, after meeting his husband's family and having quite a strange dinner with them, they all statrt to play a kids game of the bride's choice. when she finds out the game its actually life or death, as the only hider, in a mansion with 12 seekers, she decides to escape alive no matter what. This, ofcourse, includes the killing of her brand new husband and his family. you know what they say..."Until death do us apart"
